The Dare to Breathe campaign was part of this effort, raising awareness about the inequitable impact of air pollution on communities of color and lobbying federal agencies to improve regulations so that our communities can breathe.<\/span>\r\n
\r\n

Since 2022, we have mobilized<\/strong>\u00a0by sharing letters, testimonials, and public comments urging the EPA to adopt the strongest health-protective clean air standards. Through powerful videos and social media explainers, we spotlighted urgent realities and community-driven solutions, making clear this is a matter of life and death.\u00a0Clean air isn\u2019t a privilege, it\u2019s a human right.<\/strong><\/p>\r\n

From across the country people joined us to #DaretoBreathe, fueling a movement that helped secure stronger federal clean air and climate protections that\u00a0reinforce the vital work happening on the ground<\/strong>,\u00a0improve our health, and save thousands of lives<\/strong>.<\/p>\r\n \r\n\r\n<\/div>\r\n

\r\n

Now, we face\u00a0the greatest environmental and health rollbacks of the last 50 years,<\/strong>\u00a0including to\u00a0NOx NSPS,<\/a>\u00a0MATS<\/a>,\u00a0Carbon Power Plant Rule<\/a>, the\u00a0Endangerment Finding and vehicles emissions standards<\/a>,\u00a0Greenhouse Gas Reporting Program<\/a>\u00a0and delay of the\u00a0Methane Rule<\/a>. We are pushing back to protect what we fought for and to hold the line to keep our communities \u2013 and all neighborhoods across the country \u2013 healthy and safe. OUR PRINCIPLES<\/b><\/h2>\r\nFrontlines to the Front<\/b>\r\nOur communities are centers of power, knowledge, stories and solutions. Far too many of our environmental justice communities have their lungs damaged or their lives cut short, so they must be <\/span>first in line to benefit from pollution reductions<\/span>. Enhancing our communities\u2019 health will unlock more leadership, joy, culture, and creativity into the world.\u00a0<\/span>\r\n\r\nThe Audacity of the Facts<\/b>\r\nThe silent killer of toxic air is worse than most people think \u2013 especially considering the inequities of who breathes the most polluted air in America: primarily communities of color and low-income. We are highlighting <\/span>the most shameful and shocking ways that air quality segregation is experienced across the United States<\/span>, educating to spark awareness and action \u2013 and demanding swift, aggressive action from the EPA.<\/span>\r\n\r\nClean Air to Thrive, Not Just Survive<\/b>\r\nClean air isn\u2019t a privilege, it\u2019s a human right.<\/span> Our friends and family<\/span> members lose years of their lives and live with debilitating illnesses caused or amplified by bad air.
