The group meets on the second Tuesday of every month at 6:30 PM via Zoom. Sign up here<\/a> or contact Marileidy Pimentel Paniagua at marileidy.pimentel@weact.org<\/a> to get involved.\r\n\r\n \r\n\r\nNYCHA WORKING GROUP<\/strong>\r\nThe New York City Housing Authority (NYCHA) faces a myriad of problems \u2013 most of which are tied to the fact that it has been chronically underfunded for years. As a result, NYCHA residents often have to endure environmental challenges such as mold, lead, and pests along with substandard service in terms of repairs, lack of resident engagement and other basic issues. Our NYCHA Working Group builds community power and educates members around NYCHA issues by discussing key topics, having conversations with informed speakers and advocating for solutions that will better NYCHA communities. Join us on the fourth Monday of every month from 6:30 PM via Zoom.
