WE ACT envisions a community that has:\r\n<ul>\r\n \t<li class=\"first_item\">informed and engaged residents who participate fully in decision-making on key issues that impact their health and community.<\/li>\r\n \t<li>strong and equal environmental protections.<\/li>\r\n \t<li class=\"last_item\">increased environmental health through community-based participatory research and evidence-based campaigns.<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n\r\nhttps:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=Wj72U12la4U\r\n\r\n<h2><strong>THE HISTORY OF WE ACT FOR ENVIRONMENTAL JUSTICE<\/strong><\/h2>\r\nOur organization was born of victory. New York City decided to site a sewage treatment plant - originally slated to be built in whiter, wealthier communities - here in West Harlem.
