New York City's Environmental Justice Report & Upcoming Plan<\/h2>\r\nOn April 29, 2024, the New York City Mayor's Office of Climate & Environmental Justice<\/a> released the Environmental Justice NYC (EJNYC) report<\/a> and mapping tool<\/a>, a comprehensive citywide assessment of environmental justice issues, which we believe to be the first of its kind in the nation. We encourage you to read the report<\/a> and explore the mapping tool<\/a> to better understand environmental justice<\/a> in New York City and how your community is being impacted.\r\n\r\nEJNYC Plan<\/strong>\r\nThe next step in this process is for the city to develop the EJNYC Plan<\/a>, which is designed to address the issues identified in the report. We are planning to host events in all five boroughs to gather community input - recommended solutions - and environmental and climate justice issues impacting all of the city's environmental justice communities.
