WE ACT for Environmental Justice’s Policy and Advocacy Coordinator Sonal Jessel was featured in Bloomberg Law’s coverage of the signing of Intro 1947 into law on November 17, 2020. Jessel also spoke at the press conference, during which New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio signed the bill, amending the Climate Mobilization Act to expand the number of buildings required to comply with New York City’s groundbreaking greenhouse gas emission reduction targets while protecting affordable housing residents from having the cost of compliance passed on to them by landlords.
