WE ACT for Environmental Justice is a 501(c)(3) Northern Manhattan community-based membership organization whose mission is to build healthy communities by ensuring that people of color and/or low-income participate meaningfully in the creation of sound and fair environmental health and protection policies and practices.

WE ACT’s staff is made up of a dynamic team of activists, lawyers, community organizers, public health experts, and local residents of Harlem. We are committed to the mission of achieving environmental and climate justice both in New York City and nationwide.

Current Openings for the NEW YORK CITY office:

Applications are now open (through Sept. 30th, 2025) for our Cecil Corbin-Mark Fellowship. This fellow will be part of our National Organizing Department, based in our New York City office, and focusing on environmental health and the energy sector. Download the Job Description (PDF)
