Jaron Burke currently serves as a Senior Program Manager at WE ACT for Environmental Justice and helps lead the Manhattan Clean Energy Hub. Jaron is passionate about promoting climate and environmental justice, and is committed to ensuring New Yorkers, especially those in disadvantaged communities, are able to take advantage of clean energy jobs, energy efficiency improvements in their homes, and rebates for businesses and personal transportation. Prior to starting at WE ACT, Jaron worked at the City of Olympia as the Climate Program Specialist, where he helped community members access incentives for clean energy upgrades and advocated for policies that support the transition to a clean energy economy. Jaron received his MPH in Environmental Health Sciences from Columbia University’s Mailman School of Public Health, and a BS in Public Health from the University of Washington in Seattle. In his free time, Jaron loves to spend time outdoors, either hiking, biking, camping, or kayaking. He is also the co-founder of Uptown Chats, New York’s first and most popular environmental justice podcast.
