WE ACT’s Deputy Director and Director of Policy Initiatives Cecil Corbin-Mark was quoted in an article in the July 9, 2018 issue of ThinkProgress discussing the impact of extreme heat and cold on communities of color and low-income along with the need for greater representation of those communities on Public Service Commissions as well as in energy policy decision-making and regulation. The article was about the tragic death of an elderly woman, Linda Daniels, who died when the utility company cut the power to her home and rendered her supplemental oxygen supply inoperable.
