Manuel Salgado is the Federal Research Manager at WE ACT for Environmental Justice Federal Policy Office, in Washington, D.C. Manuel conducts research, data collection, and analysis to inform WE ACT’s efforts to advance equitable and just climate, transportation, energy, and toxics policies and practices at the local, state, and national levels. Manuel has a BS in Environmental Science from the University of New Mexico and is currently completing a PhD in Geography from Texas A&M University where his research deals with measuring alpine snow using remote sensing techniques. Manuel’s other research interests include addressing and mitigating climate change’s disproportionate effects on BIPOC communities and increasing BIPOC representation in the sciences.
